One of the things I wish was said to me as a child/growing adult…

Introduction: Do not think that I am saying that the devil does not interfere. I feel as if the devil or negative energy is something that should be cast out daily and not just when “troubles” arise. The only point of this is to try to get people aware that God does work in mysterious ways and to stop deflecting all of their personal issues on the devil just because they refuse to face their problems and make a change within themselves. Do know that the devil is real and he is busy, but also know that God has you covered if/when you accept Him. Sometimes we are comfortable in situations that seem good, but bad things happen, and what I’m saying is that not all times the bad things are from the devil and sometimes it is God trying to reach us.

NOW MOVING ON…

Just because hard times come, it doesn’t always mean that it’s the devil. Sometimes it’s God coming through and doing what He deems necessary to change your path — especially when warnings were not noticed.

Don’t give the devil the glory of an unseen blessing. Everything is not meant for us to understand and that’s why it’s called FAITH.

Don’t blame the devil for the changes in your life then praise God when you finally see the benefits that come through on account of those changes. {I’m not saying not to praise God, but I am saying that people shouldn’t pick and choose when they have faith.}

The same thing can also be said for blessings because even the devil gives gifts to his faithful workers. {We’ve all heard the saying that everything that sparkles isn’t gold.}

You truly just have to recognize your energy, stay aware of your intentions, and be accountable for your role in your personal situations. Use your God given power of discernment and remain still in God.

ENDCAP: One of the biggest problem with people is that we are always looking for someone to blame and the easiest target is always the devil. The first person that we should always look at is ourselves. Know that just because you are doing the right thing or trying to that it doesn’t necessarily mean that things will be easy — it actually means that the path will be harder. You will be tested and things will start to feel impossible to conquer or endure, but KNOW (don’t believe) that if it was meant to kill you, you’d already be dead.

Keep faith, continue to try to right your wrongs, and stay in-tune with who you are.

The Open-Minded versus the Intellectually Close-Minded

I’ve noticed that a lot of people claim to be open-minded, but what IS “being open-minded?” I don’t know all of the technical definitions, but the street definition seems to be anyone that can think above those that they are around. Now…is that a true open-mind or is that simply a logical or rational mind?
There is nothing wrong with being logical or critical within your thinking. Those are some absolute, necessary steps towards becoming open-minded but they do not DEFINE an open mind.
Some people that I’ve encountered have claimed to be OM’ed, but I’ve noticed that it only goes to a certain extent. It’s as if they surround themselves with people that they think could never “out-think” them. They will banter back and forth with those that they believe are ignorant. They will implant new ideas into the minds of those that may have never thought about things in a certain way, BUT as soon as they meet a fellow OM’ed person, then they will shut down or just disagree with everything that is being said because it goes beyond their perceived intellect of themselves or the person that they are speaking to. Nothing around them ever seems to “make sense” because it doesn’t fit into the mold of their mind.
That…is…not…being…open-minded!
That is a close-minded intellectual.

So, who made you the “Growth Judge?”

Growth is subjective. What one person needs to obtain some level of growth, another may need an opposite experience. It is not up to us, as individuals to decide what people need God/Universe/Karma to show them, and the way in which He/She/It feels as if they are equipped to see. We have no idea what is truly beneficial or detrimental to them. If you feel as if a person needs help or guidance, then try to lend a genuine helping hand. But to condemn or elevate a person, within your mind or heart, due to what they have or have not or due to what they are or are not doing, is a judgment that you have no right to place. Yes, you can feel that something is right or wrong, but you should understand that your moral compass truly only applies to you and your personal experiences and culture and that it is not a fact; Even what you think you believe may change many times within your own growth.

None of us are equipped to be judges nor jurors when none of us is without fault. It is much easier in life to just accept people as they are and love them regardless. If it means loving them from a distance, then so be it, because I am not saying that you have to involve yourself with people, places, or things that you are not comfortable with. But I am saying that there is someone, somewhere, right now, looking at you with their nose turned up at who you are and the choices that you’ve made that you felt were beneficial at that time in your life.

We are all just on a journey and although the paths may not all be the same, I can only hope that the Truth, and not only our personal and sometimes egotistical truth, will persevere.

The Living Dead

The moment most people hear this, they tend to automatically think about a reanimated corpse that’s hungry for brains. With all of the “advances” in science, the idea isn’t too far-fetched considering they’ve even conducted “Zombie Drills.” Now, not to discredit the possibility of that scenario, I would like for you to think about a different one.
Travel through this maze of possibilities with me:

I would like to bring back a topic that I mentioned in my previous post; “You are what you eat.”

Have you ever thought about how many people there actually are in the world? Have you ever thought about how much we all consume?
Not only how much we eat but how much we use and dispose of products?
Have you ever thought about the amount of plants and animals it would take to supply the demand of all of these people?

These are questions that I don’t think many of think about often, and if so, then maybe you’ve reached the same idea as I or reached another place altogether. But these questions made me look into the food industry and answers began to unfold.

Containment Through Your Entertainment

You ever heard that phrase, “You are what you eat?” Well, the same can be said about what you think, read, watch, say, and do. You are a product of what you are exposed to, whether by choice or not, and the quality of product you are depends on how you handle your exposure.

“It doesn’t matter the quality of the camera if you handle the negatives incorrectly.” –Me

What is GRAVITY??

Have you ever noticed how quickly people are to believe what someone else tells them even if it goes against their senses? And yes, common sense included…

Let’s take the term “gravity” for instance. For as long as we can remember we have been told that gravity is what holds us all together on this globe-model Earth while moving at these incredible speeds. We are told that gravity is what caused the “big bang.” We are told that gravity, in concert with the moon, controls the tides. And let’s not forget these geniuses that discovered (Sir Issac Newton)¬†and supported the concept of gravity (Einstein).

But have you ever actually thought about gravity? Not just thought about what you’ve been taught, but about your personal experience with it? continue reading
